Get involvedThe charity received IRS 501(c)(3) recognition in 2024. The Living Legend Charity & Scholarship Rodeo has been a Galveston County tradition for more than two decades.
That is the purpose stated on our official Facebook page, and it is the work of this public charity: keep young people in school, in the arena, and connected to the Black cowboy legacy of the Texas Gulf Coast.
President & Executive Director Harold Cash - All-American Rodeo Association champion bareback rider, Lincoln High School and Prairie View A&M alumnus - built this nonprofit so the next generation does not have to ride alone.

Coverage of the 2025 rodeo and the first Galveston County Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame induction.
